Please be informed that there is no connection between Under The Banyan Tree Centre for the Developmentally Disabled ( UTBT Centre ) and Banyan Tree Foundation, which has been mentioned currently in the newspaper (Ottawa has delisted it from registered charities due to the questions of managing the donation receipts).  

UTBT Centre is a registered charity for providing direct training programs and support services for people with developmental disabilities. This organization is initiated by Annie Leung and became a registered charity in 2003 governed by a voluntary group of board members. Our Centre provides personalized training objectives for developmentally disabled of all ages under structured teaching approach to develop individual skills through group learning environment. Our Centre maintains all financial statements and donation receipts in order and properly audited by a Certified Accountant and Auditor.

澄清啟事

榕樹下智障人士訓練中心(簡稱榕樹下中心)於一九九七年成立並於二零零三年註冊為慈善團體， 在社區提供直接訓練予智障人士已有十一年之久。中心財募及處理捐募事宜一向由註冊會計師及核數師監管， 有步驟均依據合法程序辦理。

按近日各大報刊傳媒報導有關『榕樹基金會』處理捐款失當事件，因多方人士致電查詢，故特意聲明如下﹕ 該機構與本中心乃兩所截然不同的機構，一向不相往來，雙方從沒有任何聯繫。榕
樹下中心是提供直接訓練及服務予智障人士而『榕樹基金會』只將收取捐款額再發放給其他團體，服務性質截然不同。
